Whilst much of the focus was on WBO Super Flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (8-0, 7), who will be facing Warlito Parrenas (24-6-1, 21) on December 29th with a plan to fight Stateside in 2016, there was also plenty of focus on his brother, OPBF Super Flyweight champion Takuma Inoue (5-0, 1).
The obvious note to make about the younger of the Inoue brothers is that he will be defending his title against Filipino challenger Rene Dacquel (15-5-1, 5), also on December 29th. However there was also news released from Ohashi that suggest Takuma could be fighting for a world title at some point next year.
It was unclear what weight Takuma would be fighting at however it's clear that his promoter, Hideyuki Ohashi, will see how Takuma fares against Dacquel before making an immediate on when Takuma will fight for world honours.
Ohashi officially announce Inoue vs Parrenas, Yaegashi vs Mendoza and Inoue Vs Dacquel!
