Unfortunately for the Japanese team Suzuki was the only one of their fighters to reach the final after both Goh Hosaka and Subaru Murata lost their semi final bouts. For Japan however this means that all 3 of their fighters managed to reach the last 4, an excellent achievement for the trio.
Yesterday saw the first Asian boxer's competing in the finals with a gold medal being won by Yuan Chang in the female Flyweight competition, soon afterwards Nien-Chin Chen of Chinese Tapei took silver in the female Middleweight division.
As for the men, their finals are held later today.
