Yesterday Japanese fight fans at the Korakuen Hall saw a Japanese female title bout, as Jun Yabuki (9-0,4) [矢吹純] faced off with school girl boxer Fuka Komura (5-1, 2) [小村楓香] for the Japanese female Minimumweight title.
The bout saw both fighters trying to control of distance, with Yabuki managing to establish her southpaw jab and keep Komura at range. with the younger fighter trying to come forward but never being able to cut the distance with the consistency that she needed to drag Yabuki into her fight.
Yabuki's control saw her dropping Komura in round 3 and being well ahead after that, with Komura really struggling to get anything going.
When Komura finally got things right she had a huge break through, dropping Yabuki in round 4, claiming a 10-8 round and really dragging her self back into the bout. Sadly for her however that wasn't the moement that changed the fight. Instead Yabuki re-sumed control the following round, controlling the distance again and running out to a clear decision, with cards of 57-55, twice, and 58-54.
Following the lossan emotional Komura couldn't hide her disappointment, and showed how upset she was, whilst a proud Yabuki celebrated her biggest win to date.

Earlier today saw a press conference take place in Japan to announce A sign Bee Vol 5, set for July 10 at the Korakuen Hall.
The full card wasn't announced, but the main event was and one other fighter featuring on the card was also announced.
The match that was announced was an interesting looking match up as former world champion Tomoki Kameda (33-2, 20) [亀田和毅] will face former world title challenger Ivan Morales (31-2, 19) in a bout that looks mouth watering on paper, with the two men having almost identical records.
On paper it's hard to bet against the more proven Kameda, who is a world class fighter even if he is now more than 2 years removed from his last win at world level, but the match up is a good one and Morales won't be travelling to pick up a loss.
The Kameda Vs Morales bout is set to be a 10 rounder at a contracted 56KG's.
Also on the card will be Jun Yabuki (7-0, 3) [矢吹純], who hasn't yet had her opponent named.

Tomorrow Japanese fight fans in Tokyo will get a de facto title eliminator as OPBF #1 ranked female Light Flyweight Jun Yabuki (6-0, 3) [矢吹 純] battles against the #2 ranked Shione Ogata (7-5, 2) [緒方 汐音] on one of the under-card bouts for A-sign Bee Vol 2.
Today the two fighters took part in their weigh in weigh in and both came in just under the limit, at around 107.8lbs.
The bout will see the unbeaten Yabuki taking on her most notable foe to date. Although unbeaten her competition so far has been poor, and she's only really been tested in 4 rounders against domestic novices, such as Itose Ishii.
Whilst Ogata will be the under-dog on paper it should be noted that she has won her last 6 bouts, after a faltering 1-5 start to her professional career, and has more experience over the 6 round distance than Yabuki, who has never gone 6 rounds during her short career.
For fight fans interested in watching this bout it will be available on the A-sign boxing service for those paying for the A-sign Bee vol 2 show.
