According to Kazakh sources unbeaten Cruiserweight contender Issa Akberbayev (20-0-0-1, 15) [Акбербаев Иса] is looking to return to the ring before the end of 2018.
At the moment details aren't finalised but sources report that the unbeaten 34 year old seemed itching to get back to action, after essentially wasting 2018.
The last time we saw Akberbayev in the ring was last December, when he stopped Mirnes Denadic in Ukraine in 3 rounds. Disappointing that was only his second bout of the year, following another early win over Yuriy Barashian, and in the 36 months he has fought a combined 13 rounds of 4 bouts. It's a shame he's been so inactive given the promise and potential he once had, though at 34 years old it is a case of "now or never" for the Bumblebee.
