On September 15th fight fans in Korea will get the chance to attend an interesting, but low key, double header featuring a regional title fight and a KBF title fight on the next Buffalo Promoted KBF sanctioned card.
The regional title fight will see Buffalo promoted Uzbek fighter Khusniddin Pulatov (9-3, 5) face off with Indonesian veteran Sahlan Coral (17-6, 10) for the WBA Asia Light Middleweight title.
The 26 year old Pulatov, from Pahtaobod in Uzbekistan, made his professional debut in May 2016 and after stringing together 5 straight wins, he was moved up in class to face Sergey Lubkovich in Russia. Lubkovich stopped the Uzbek in 4 rounds and sadly Pulatov would then suffer two more stoppage losses in his following 3 bouts, falling from 5-0 to 6-3 in the space of 8 months. Thankfully since that run of bad form Pulatov has turned his career around and scored 3 low key wins, including winning his Korean debut this past May.
At 29 years old Coral is the slightly older man but the Indonesian is already a 10 year veteran, having debuted back in early 2008. Much of his early career was fought in his homeland, though he would actually score a win on his international debut back in March 2013, when he beat Mike Reid in Australia, to advance his record to 7-2.The win over Reid was followed by a 6 fight winning run at home before losing a 12 round bout to Larry Siwu in October 2015. Sadly since that loss Coral has gone 3-3, including a stoppage loss to the very highly regarded Azizbek Abdugofurov, with his last fight coming in August 2017.
It's not a great fight, but it's one that both men will be wanting to win, to advance their career.
The other part of the double header will be a KBF Welterweight title bout, which will see In Duck Seo (9-1-2, 6) take on Moon Sung Choi (6-1-1, 2) in what looks to be a very well matched domestic title bout for the fans at the event.
