Indonesian Budi Wilson (1-6, 1) certainly didn't have a remarkable career, debuting in August 2002 and fighting most recently in September 2017, but his love of the sport is clear.
The former fighter recently revealed that he would be promoting a card on December 22nd in his homeland.
The card isn't set to be a massive one, with the main event being a contest between Kichang Kim (8-7-1, 2) and Frans Damur Palue (15-21-3, 10), but it is great to see an Indonesian show getting some details down on paper months before the actual show, something that rarely seems to happen.
As well as the main event there will also be be a female bout in a major supporting contest, with female boxing in Indonesia likely to be a big focus in the new year, following comments to suggest that leading Filipino promoter Martin Daniel will begin seeking Indonesian female fighters in the near future as well.
