During the month of September Japanese fans get their first taste of WBO Asia Pacific title bouts, with 3 such title bouts coming over the space of 2 days. The shows, in full, have both been snapped up by pay site A-sign who will stream both cards online.
The first of those cards is "Fighting Bee 18", which is set for September 13th, and will be headlined by Akihiro Kondo (24-6-1, 11) [近藤 明広] battling Filipino fighter Jeffrey Arienza (15-4-1,9) in a bout for the WBO Asia Pacific Light Welterweight title. This card is the cheaper of the two shows, costing ¥500, of about £3.64 for the UK fans or $4.82 for American fans, with all the bouts on the card being streamed.
The second bout, on September 14th, is "Hopeful Fight Vol 23" and sees Takuya Watanabe (29-6-1, 15) [渡邉 卓也] battle against Thailand's Amin Sor Wangmoo (14-1-2, 11 [อามิน ส.หวังมุ๊] for the WBO Asia Pacific Super Featherweight title and Hikaru Nishida (15-8-1, 7) [西田 光] against Makoto Fuchigami (23-11, 13) [淵上 誠],in their third bout, which will be for the WBO Asia Pacific and Japanese Middleweight titles. This card costs ¥700 which is around £5.00 for the UK fans or $6.75 for American fans and again features the entire card at that price giving some solid value for money given the price of PPV's in the west. In fact for British they could pay for both of these, and a month of www.boxingraise.com for the same price as a Sky Box Office PPV!
