Yesterday in Russia fight fans saw Kazakh novice Konstantin Brussenskiy (1-0, 1) [Константин Брусенский] make a successful debut.
The former stand out amateur, who had been one of the most under-rated fighters on the Kazakh amateur scene, was scheduled to fight 6 rounds with fellow debutant Dagir Kachakaev (0-1) but he closed the show in the second round.
About 50 seconds into the round Brussenskiy dropped Kachakaev who looked hurt when he went down. The Russian would get to his feet but would have the bout waved off by the referee, who judged him unable to continue.
It's going to be interesting to see what Brussenskiy does next, but he looked promising on his debut and certainly has potential to do great things in the professional ranks.
