In a major shock in Switzerland fans saw the Japanese born Swiss based Aniya Seki (24-3-2, 2) blasted out in 2 rounds by the criminally under-rated Judith Rodriguez (7-7, 5).
Seki, who had been unbeaten in 7 fights, was hoping to move closer to a world title fight and defend her WBC Silver female Super Flyweight title. Instead however she was shown shown up as a fighter with a somewhat padded record as Rodriguez gave her a tough opening round before stopping her just 83 seconds into the second round.
Aged 35 this could be the end for Seki who has sadly been sent way down the pecking order for a WBC Super Flyweight title fight. As for Rodriguez this puts her back in to the queue for a world title fight, despite losing her 5 previous contests. It's amazing what a turn around this result could be for the Mexican's career though it's still a shame to see Seki suffering such a major loss this close to a massive opportunity
