We were all aware that former world champion Kazuto Ioka (14-1, 9) would be fighting the world ranked Pablo Carrillo (15-2-1, 8) in a Flyweight bout and that former champion Ryo Miyazaki (20-1-3, 11) would be battling Ichal Tobida (10-12, 8). These bouts were announced when the show was announced not to long ago would both be comeback bouts following losses.
The third bout has seen former Flyweight world champion Malcolm Tunacao (34-3-3, 20) agree to fight Ryuta Otsuka (14-6-2, 4).
Unlike Ioka, who lost to Amnat Ruenroeng last time out, or Miyazaki, who lost to Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr, Tunacao isn't heading into this bout on a loss. In fact Tunacao has won his last 2 bouts following a stoppage loss to Shinsuke Yamanaka back in April 2013. As for Otsuka, a former Japanese Super Flyweight title challenger, this will be his second bout since losing a technical decision to Teiru Kinoshita.
Going into the bout it will give Otsuka a chance to score his biggest win though we do suspect that the bout is Tunacao's to lose, despite the fact the Filipino is 36.
