One of those bouts was a Japanese Bantamweight title contest between late blooming champion Kentaro Masuda (IBF#11/WBC #14) and fast rising prospect Shohei Omori (WBC #13). The bout was mouth watering from the second it was signed and seemed set to be a special bout when the fighters got in the ring. The other bout was an OPBF Light Welterweight title fight between exciting champion Keita Obara (IBF #13) and brave challenger Yuya Okazaki.
For those who didn't get the chance to get to the Korakuen Hall we have got good news. Tape delayed coverage of both bouts will be aired later in the week on Japanese terrestrial channel Fuji TV.
The bouts are both set to air as part of the Diamond Glove series and will be shown at 2:40AM local time on Sunday, and is scheduled to last for 80 minutes.
For fans around the world those times will need to be adjusted though thankfully Fuji TV is one of the many channels that is shown on streaming services, such as Keyhole TV, which can be seen in the west. For UK fans that means the show will be televised from 6:40PM to 8PM.
Whilst we've tried to keep this spoiler free we do know that we've reported the results. For those who haven't had the show spoiled we suggest you tune in, for those who know the results there is no excuse not to tune in considering what happened.
