On December 29th fans in Japan had the chance to see a pair of world title fights on Fuji TV. Now it's been revealed that bouts from the under-card of that show were filmed for broadcast and will now be aired on January 8th as part of "Boxing Fes 2015 - Another Edition".
The telecast, which is to air on Friday night at midnight, is scheduled to last 80 minutes and show footage from the following bouts-
Satoshi Hosono Vs Akifumi Shimoda, a bout for the Japanese Featherweight title held by Hosono,
Takuma Inoue Vs Rene Dacquel, a bout for the OPBF Super Flyweight title held by Inoue,
and Koki Inoue Vs Jackson Koel Lapie, in what was Koki's professional debut.
Of course given the broadcast window it's clear that the bouts will only be abridged footage, except in the case of Koki Inoue's debut which only lasted a couple of minutes, though it's still great to see footage from those bouts being aired.
Sadly however the broadcast isn't on Fuji's terrestrial channel, instead it's on Fuji BS, a channel that is on satellite in Japan and very tough for international viewers to access. Hopefully however the footage will hit the video sites in the days following the broadcast.
