This coming weekend we will be showing the WBO Flyweight title fight between Kosei Tanaka (12-0, 7) [田中恒成] and Ryoichi Taguchi (27-3-2, 12) [田口良一], giving Western fans a chance to watch a bout they may not have had access to other wise.
It appears it's not just fans with an interest in the bout with one notable UK bookmakers, Paddy Power, also currently having an interest in the bout, with odds on the contest.
The popular betting company have only listed the "To Win" market, but have made it very clear they are favouring Tanaka.
The unbeaten champion is priced at 1/3 to win the bout, and retain his title. Taguchi on the other hand is 9/4 whilst the draw is 16/1.
It's a shame there isn't more markets available, but it is great to see an all Japanese world title bout getting attention with UK bookies, not something we see very often.
