The shows main event between Masao Nakamura (18-1, 1) and Masayuki Ito (14-0-1, 6) was contracted at 132.5lbs, a weight both men made bang on. The men, pictured on the left, both looked great at the weigh in and both probably could have made 130lbs if needed.
The chief support bout, a bout between former 5-weight national champion Tadashi Yuba (45-9-2, 32) and Filipino visitor Dondon Lapuz (19-45-7, 7), saw the men coming in at very different weight. The bout was made 161lbs and Yuba made the most of the contracted limit weighing in at 160.5lbs, Lapuz on the other hand was 156lbs and may feel that weight difference in the ring.
In another Japan Vs Philippines bout we saw fighters coming in at the same weight. This bout, between Hayato Kimura (21-6, 15) and Michael Dasmarinas (16-1, 10), saw both men weighing in at 117lb, the contracted limit for the bout.
The show's Super Bantamweight contest between the under-rated Yusaku Kuga (8-1-1, 5) and the more experienced Koji Aoki (16-7-2, 6) saw both men weighing in at 122lbs. For us this is actually one of the very best bouts on the show, especially considering how good Kuga looked in his bout against Naoto Uebayashi.
The 4 undercard bouts also saw the men all making the contracted weight. These bouts will include a contest at Middleweight and a bout up at Cruiserweight.
