Earlier today in Tokyo saw the official weight for a number of major title fights set to take place tomorrow. Among them was the WBC Lightweight title fight between former 2-weight world champion Jorge Linares (37-3, 24) and first time world title fighter Javier Prieto (24-7-2, 18).
On the scales the men were very similar in weight with the Japanese based Venezuelan fight, Linares, being the slightly heavier man weighing in at 134¾lbs. Mexico's Prieto was only marginally lighter as around 134½lbs.
At the medical examination both men had been measured with very similar results and it seems that even in terms of weight they are very similar.
With both men being experienced professionals it'll come as no surprise to state both looked in great condition and although we strongly favour Linares to win it's likely that he'll have to go through some hairy moments on his way to victory.
