Filipino fighter Warlito Parrenas (24-7-1, 21) has been out of the ring for well over a year, though it now appears that the big punching former world title challenger is set for a surprising ring return, which is set for December 9h in Sakai City, Osaka.
The exciting Parrenas hasn't been seen in a fight since his 2015 blow out loss to the sensational Naoya Inoue, who stopped Parrenas in round 2. In recent times however it seems he has joined the Morkioka Gym as both a fighter and trainer and despite being out of the ring for almost 2 years he is set to make his comeback.
Parrenas will be taking on a Thai foe in a bout at Bantamweight, on the under-card of "A dream is still far ... Vol.2", which will be headlined by a contest between Noboru Osato (8-5-4, 1) [大里登] and form OPBF Bantamweight title challenger Yuki Strong Kobayashi (11-7, 6) [小林佑樹]. The Thai isn't expected to be much of a challenge for Parrenas, but it's a welcome return for the Filipino slugger who really has got the power, and style, to still be a name at either Super Flyweight or Bantamweight.
