Tomorrow fight fans in Osaka City will see local hopeful Takuya Uehara (11-0, 6) [上原 拓哉] make his firts defense of the the WBC Youth Featherweight title, as he takes on Thai visitor Nongdear Sor Bangkharu (1-14).
Today the two men took part in their weigh in for the contest, and both managed to make weight for the bout.
The talented Uehara, a good friend of Daigo Higa, seemed to suggest that he was looking to win ahead of Higa's bout and he looked good on the scales, making the 126lb limit. He looked full of confidence and as if he felt that he could make a statement ahead of Higa's up coming world title bout on May 20th.
The Thai, also made weight and came in on the limit, just like Uehara. He seemed confident but given he has only scored a since win in his professional career it's obvious he'll be the clear under-dog coming into this match up.
