Following Tomoki Kameda's recent defence of his WBO Bantamweight title in the USA the attention of the Japanese boxing press appears to have turned towards this Friday's IBF Super Flyweight title fight between Teiru Kinoshita (19-0-1, 3) and South Africa's Zolani Tete (18-3, 16). The fight, aired on SKY A Sports, may not have a major TV deal but it is getting plenty of inches of coverage all the same.
Amongst the coverage the fight has been given has been numerous quotes given to the press from Kinoshita who knows this will be the biggest, toughest and most important fight of his career.
The quotes from the Japanese fighter all appear to be positive with the fighter saying he was "feeling good" in one interview, in another he suggest that he was really confident of his stamina and seemed to feel he was going to win the bout in the second half of the contest.
From the reports we've received Kinoshita looked very sharp in his public work out earlier today and seemed to look terrific on the mitts. Of course whilst it was a public work out we sadly weren't in Kobe to see it though all the reports are positive and they all sound like Kinoshita is looking better than he's ever looked before.
