Last week Japanese fighter Tenkai Tsunami (21-10, 10) traveled to Chile ahead of her IBF female Bantamweight title fight with unbeaten champion Carolina Rodriguez (14-0, 1). Prior to the fight the two ladies spent time together posing for photo's and taking part in the media events.
As part of the press appearances the posed for this wonderful photo, a photo in which the two fights look like good friends, not woman who are about to spend 20 minutes throwing punches at each other.
For Tsunami this is her first bout in Chile, though comes after numerous bouts on the road. Her travels have helped here though she did say, on her blog, that she was suffering with jetlag for the first few days. That however seems to have eased.
Notable Rodriguez has herself had issues in the build up to this fight and the Chilean world champion, the first in history, has posted a picture on facebook of a doctor looking at her left hand. She suggested that it was almost 100% fine, but almost may not be good enough against a fighter like Tsunami who really brings the action every time she's in the ring.
As mentioned previously this bout will be aired on Chilean station CHV, with the Chilean broadcast showing the fight from 10PM local time. The channel does have an online stream, though it appears that it's only available to those inside Chile.
