Kinoshita was last seen in the ring back in July when he fought for the IBF world title, unfortunately however he came up short against talented South African Zolani Tete who gave Kinoshita his first loss as a professional and showed that he wasn't good enough for world level. Thankfully he didn't leave the sport and instead went on an intensive training camp promising to comeback better and use the experience the become a better fighter.
Prior to the loss to Tete we had seen Kinoshita claim the the Japanese title which he defended 5 times. Sadly those defenses had come against relatively poor opponents with the most notable being naturally smaller men like Atsushi Kakutani and Junichi Ebisuoka. Those two would have been fine defenses at Flyweight but not at Super Flyweight.
From what we understand Kinoshita's opponent hasn't yet been named but he will fighting in an 8 round bout at Bantamweight.
As well as Kinoshita's fight the show will also feature Japanese ranked Lightweight Kazuhiro Nishitani (14-2, 7) sadly however full details of the show are not yet available though we're hoping to have all the information from this show shortly.
