Earlier today it was announced that Japanese Flyweight champion Takuya Kogawa (27-4, 13) [粉川 拓也] would be returning to the ring on October 25th to record his 4th defense of the title. In the opposite corner would be JBC #4 ranked challenger Yudai Arai (8-3-3, 4) [新井 雄大].
The bout sees the world ranked, and always fun to watch, Kogawa return to the ring for the first time since his FOTY contender with grizzled veteran Masafumi Otake earlier this year. Although it looks like an easy win for Koagawa on paper we all know that he makes easy bouts difficult to please the fans and give them their money's worth.
The little known challenger has been stopped 3 times this far in his career, and has gone 2-2 in his last 4, but will know this is a huge opportunity to shine in front of the Korakuen Hall fans and will be full prepared for the bout, which could put the 24 year old on the proverbial boxing map.
The bout is headline contest of the upcoming Dangan 168 / Tomorrow's Champion 32 card to be held at the Korakuen Hall and features a really good looking under card.
