On Friday Japanese fans in Tokyo get the chance to see a couple of title fights, one of those will see Japanese Welterweight champion Suyon Takayama (22-1, 7) defending his title against Ryoji Tanaka (8-4-1, 2).
Today the two men weighed in with Takayama being the marginally heavier man. The champion made the divisional limit of 147lbs whilst Tanaka was 146½lbs.
For Takayama this weight is the same as he's been in his last 4 bouts whilst Tanaka, who actually looked the bigger man at the weigh in, is the same as he was in his 2014 win over Noriomi Sakamoto.
For Takayama this will be his 6th defense of the title, a title that he win back in December 2012 whilst Tanaka is fighting in his first title fight.
