Earlier today saw the official weigh in for this weekends Minimumweight unification bout between IBF champion Katsunari Takayama (27-6-0-1, 10) and WBO champion Francisco Rodriguez Jr (14-2, 10). Unsurprisingly both men made weight, in fact both men were an identical weight of 105lbs, dead on the limit.
This is the 7th straight time that that Takayama as made 105lbs whilst for Rodriguez this is the second time he has made 105lbs with the only other one being his victory over Merlito Sabillo.
Having made weight today both men will also need to make weight again tomorrow morning if they want to be a unified champion, this is part of the IBF's rules and will see both men needing to weight within 10lbs of the limit tomorrow.
In regards to how the men looked, they booth looked in great shape on the scales and we're expecting a great fight tomorrow.
