Earlier in Tokyo fans and the media had the chance to see WBC Super Featherweight champion Takashi Miura (28-2-2, 21) take place in a public training session ahead of his upcoming world title defense against controversial Australian Billy Dib (39-3-0-1, 23).
From what we understand Miura spent 2 rounds sparring with Teiken stablemate Kenichi Ogawa (14-1, 12) as well as hitting the mitts and bags whilst looking in great shape. Impressive the fight was able to turn defense in to offense in the spar and looked like his training camp had been excellent in getting him ready.
Prior to the training Miura had held a press conference regarding his bout with Dib. In that conference Miura and his team commented on Dib's "tricky movement" but said they had trained for it and and have made a gameplan that has focused on that movement. They also seemed to be very confident of Miura recording his 4th successful title defense.
