A month ago we reported that former multi-weight Japanese champion Tadashi Yuba (45-9-2, 32) was to return on August 4th. It seems however that the fighter and the promoter have come a new arrangement and that will see Yuba returning to the ring a few days earlier for a July 30th date on Dangan 108.
As well as having a chance in date Yuba now has an opponent, Dondon Lapuz (19-45-7, 7) of the Philippines. Lapuz, a 71 fight veteran, has fought a relative who's who of Asian boxing in the last 17 years, including Veeraphol Sahaprom, Somsak Sithchatchawal, Terdsak Kokietgym, Michael Farenas and Fahsai Sakkreerin, though unfortunately has been beaten by every name fighter he has fought.
As speculated Yuba isn't fighting an opponent who is likely to test him but for the Japanese fighter the key is scoring a win and deciding where to go from there.
Of course for this particular show Yuba won't be the main event, instead that honour falls to the brilliant match up between the big punching Masao Nakamura (18-1, 18) and the unbeaten Masayuki Ito (14-0-1, 6) with the two men being the features on the poster which was recently released.
