Unbeaten Kazakh prospect Sultan Zaurbek (3-0, 2) [Заурбек Султан] has confirmed to Kazakh media that he will be fighting twice in just over a week.
The former amateur stand out told the media that he had pushed MTK Global, his management team, to allow him to fight on both February 22nd and March 1st.
The talented fighter told Vesti.kz that he doesn't think it's difficult to arrange two fights at once, and actually pushed MTK to allow both fights, though they were originally against it, likely seeing the possibilities for injuries scuppering plans.
Sadly Zaurbek isn't clear who either of his opponents will be as of yet, but has been preparing with 6 round spars and seemed confident of winning both bouts.
He explained that the reason for fighting twice in such a short time was that he needed to box more often because he wanted to fight for titles this year, likely realising that professional experience and development are key to that happening.
Although MTK Global have proven themselves fantastic as a management team it is great to see a fighter demanding more fights, and getting them. It seems, from the comments made by Zaurbek, that he wants to be active in the direction of his career, and this is exciting to see from a youngster who knows how good he is.
