Earlier today Kazakh fighter Firuza Sharipova (9-1, 4) [фируза шарипова] continues to tease the media with yet another press release that seems to suggest she's great, despite still not having a fight arranged.
The fighter revealed to the press that she had been given two offers to compete at the 2020 Olympics for countries other than Kazakhstan.
She refused to name names, but revealed that one country is a former Soviet country and the other was in Asia, with the Asian country offering to to financially compensate Sharipova with $1,000,000 to fight for them.
She also revealed that she has turned both offer down, and suggest that she would only fight for Kazakhstan, despite a recent public spat with a high ranking member of the Kazakh amateur squad.
We do need to give Sharipova credit for remaining in the press, and this story wasn't just in the Kazakh press but also the Uzbek press, but it does very much seem like Sharipova and her team need to begin sorting out her next bout. It's become a bit of a joke that we are just days away from the start of March and we're yet to really see anything actually being scheduled by her.
