Today, ahead of that bout, Samartlek took part in a public work out session along with former world champion Kompayak Porpramook, who took Samartlek through the motions.
Samartlek, who is best known for losing to Naoya Inoue around 2 years ago, said he was pleased to return to Japan and that he was expecting an interesting fight, with the youngster admitting he had changed his style since the loss to Inoue. That change in style was said to be shown in the way he now delivers crtain body shots, however he didn't really give much away during the training session. Instead the challenger only really spent time with a light spar and a light session on the pads and seemed to keep his cards very close to his chest.
