According to multiple sources in France a deal looks to be done for a WBA "Regular" Middleweight title fight between Japan's Ryota Murata (12-0, 9) [村田 諒太] and Frenchman Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam (35-2, 21).
The French haven't reported a date for the bout but it seems like they have been informed that the bout will be announced shortly. However, from what we understand the bout will not be announced until after the March 18th bout between Gennady Golovkin and Danny Jacobs, with the WBA regular title becoming open after that fight and allowing the "interim" title that N'Dam N'Jikam to be essentially upgraded.
The story follows the WBO's announcement to have an interim title bout between Avtandil Khurtsidze (32-2-2, 21) and Tommy Langford (18-0, 6), and a story that has bubbled under about a contest between Billy Joe Saunders (24-0, 12) face off with Golovkin in the summer in Kazakhstan, which would unify all 4 major titles. It would then be that the winners of Murata Vs N'Dam N'Jikam and Khurtsidze Vs Langford would be the mandatory fighters for the WBA and WBO titles respectively, which could potentially all be tied up by the end of summer.
