Earlier today fight fans in Ishikawa had a notable show, feature two well known fighters and a female title fight.
One of those notable fighters was Hurricane Futa (23-7-1, 14) [ハリケーン風太], who bounced back from a stoppage loss to Ernie Sanchez with a 4th round TKO win against an over-matched Thai visitor. The talented Futa had to work a bit for his win, but the rounds will serve him well ahead of what could be a very interesting 2018.
Another name fighter on that card was former world title challenger Genesis Servania (30-1, 13), whe stopped a Thai foe in just 37 seconds. The bout was Servania's first since he lost in a WBO world title fight to Oscar Valdez, and it seems clear this was just a confidence building ring return for the talented Filipino.
In a bout for the Japanese Female Featherweight title fans saw Asami Jinnari (5-2-1, 2) [神成 麻美] and Wakako Fujiwara (4-2-2, 2) [藤原 芽子] fight to a split decision draw. The bout was close through out and the result was a fair one.
