Yesterday Thai promotional outfit Kiatkreerin confirmed that date and venue for the upcoming IBF Flyweight title fight between unbeaten champion Amnat Ruenroeng (15-0, 5) and mandatory challenger Johnriel Casimero (21-2, 13) whilst also releasing the poster for the show and confirming the Thai TV coverage.
As previously reported the bout will take place on June 27th in Bangkok, at the Indoor Stadium Huamark a wonderful venue.
Unsurprisingly the bout will be aired on Mono 29 in Thailand. This is the same Thai channel that showed Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr's recent world title bout with Katsunari Takayama and the channel appears to have a very strong working relationship with Kiatkreerin, who promote Amnat, Fahlan, and several other notable Thai's such as Mike Tawatchai and Patomsith Pathompothong who will both be in action in Japan on June 10th.
As for the poster we really like it. It's not the most exciting or unusual but it is eye catching, gives us the details we need regarding the bout and looks really clear.
Sadly what we don't yet have regarding the show are details regarding the under-card.
For Amnat this will be the 4th defense of his title and see him trying to continue an excellent run of results which has include wins over Rocky Fuentes, Kazuto Ioka, McWilliams Arroyo and Zou Shiming. For Casimero this will be an opportunity to become a 2-weight world champion adding the IBF Flyweight title to previous reigns as the WBO "interim" and IBF champion at Light Flyweight.
