The first of the brothers in action was the unbeaten Albert Pagara (21-0, 15) who made very light work of Mexican opponent Hugo Partida (21-5-2, 16). Partida was dropped 3 times inside a round by the hard hitting and very aggressive "Prince Albert" who made a very impressive impression on fans who will be hoping to see him again.
With this win Albert Pagara claimed the IBF Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title and moved another step towards a world title.
Following Albert's win fans got to see his brother, the world ranked Jason Pagara (34-2, 21) who stopped Mario Meraz (20-4, 16). Pagara made an immediate impact in dropping Meraz in the opening round. Meraz did well to recover and fight back but was dominated before Filipino referee Danrex Tapdasan, Esq. stepped in and saved Meraz from further punishment. The stoppage wasn't the most well timed but seemed to be one made with the knowledge that Meraz was just going to take a lot more punishment the longer it went on.
