The main event of the show was a really interesting one on paper, as the battle tested Daisuke Watanabe (6-3, 3) took on Naoya Okamoto (12-6-1, 6) in a contest that looked really well matched.
Despite looking well matched the bout was certainly not the 8 round back and forth we had expected. Instead it was a blink and you miss it contest. Watanabe looked to force the pace early, but a counter right hook from Okamoto dropped Watanabe face first to the canvas and forced an immediate stoppage.
The card also saw talented former amateur star Kiyohei Endo (1-1, 1) score his first win, as he stopped Ninmongkol Phetphumgym (0-2) in 2 rounds. The win for the 22 year old Endo sees him putting a shock loss to Serichai Nonpitayakom behind him, and we'll admit we're excited to see where he goes.
For fans interested in watching these two bouts, and the rest of the card, the show will be made available via Boxingraise in the next day or so.
