Earlier this month we reported that former WBC female Minimumweight champion Yuko Kuroki (17-6-1, 8) [黒木優子] would face off with former WBO Atomweight champion Nao Ikeyama (18-5-3, 5) [森脇恵子] on April 14th in Kyoto. Today the OPBF confirmed a second bout for that card.
The OPBF have revealed that Japan's Shione Ogata (10-6, 2) [緒方汐音] would be facing off with Filipino foe Charimae Salvador (4-1, 1) for the vacant OPBF female Light Flyweight title.
The title hasn't been fought for in over 2 years, with the last title bout being being between Mika Iwakawa and Narirat Klaphom way back on August 20th 2016.
For Ogata the bout could see her winning a third regional title in as many fights, having previously won the WBA Asia and WBO Asia Pacific titles. For Salvador it will be her first title fight.
