As one would assume from a "stay busy fight" this wasn't much of a test for Nishida, as his Thai foe, Vichian K Max Gym (0-2), simply couldn't cope with the style, physicality or power of Nishida.
The Japanese fighter walked forward behind his high guard, applied his heavy pressure. In round 2 that pressure had the desired effect and he dropped Vichian. The Thai showed his toughness in getting back to his feet, and continuing, but he could never work out how to fight the Thai off, and it was only a matter of time.
That time finally came in round 4, when Nishida upped the pace and forced the Thai to the ropes. A vicious assault followed until the referee stepped in to stop the action.
Also on this card was the exciting Gakuya Furuhashi (20-8-1, 9) [古橋 岳也],who over-came Yoshiyuki Takabayashi (9-9, 4) [高林 良幸], with a wide 8 round decison, and stated that he was looking to get another Japanese title shot.
