Back in September we reported that Naoko Fujioka (16-2, 7) [藤岡 奈穂子] was looking to face Yokasta Valle (13-0, 6), with the WBO Light Flyweight up for grabs. Back in September it looked like the bout would be a done deal, albeit on super short notice, though was eventually canned. Now however that bout has been re-scheduled, and we now know it will take place on December 1st as part of A-Sign Bee 9.
The bout Fujioka will see Fujioka moving down from Flyweight to Light Flyweight, whilst Valle will be moving up from Atomweight to Light Flyweight for the bout. If the experienced Fujioka wins she will create history by becoming the first Japanese fighter, male or female, to be crowned a 5-weight boxing world champion.
The show will also feature several other bouts of note, making it yet another A-Sign card worth some serious attention.
One of those bouts will see Kosuke Saka (16-3, 13) [坂晃典] defending the Japanese Featherweight title against Takenori Ohashi (14-4-2, 9) [大橋健典], in what will be Saka's first defense of the titlethat he won earlier this year against Shota Hayashi. Whilst another notable bout will see the heavy handed Keita Kurihara (9-5, 8) [栗原慶太] take on world ranked Filipino Ryan Lumacad (13-0-3, 7) in what should be an explosive encounter.
