Earlier today at the Watanabe gym the media got the chance to see Colombian fighter Luis de la Rosa (24-5-1, 14) take part in a public work out ahead of his New Year's Eve bout against WBA Light Flyweight champion Ryoichi Taguchi (22-2-1, 9).
The Colombian skipped rope, and hit the mitts whilst showing some interesting angles and a good variety of shots. The most notable thing however were his comments, rather than his actual training.
The visitor was incredibly confident and seemed almost assured that he would be taking the title back home to Colombia. He seemed to suggest that he would be hunting a KO, though would be happy with a decision win over Taguchi, who is defending his title for the second. The challenger seemed to suggest that he's wanting to make sure that Colombia begins 2016 with a world champion, and he's the last chance of that happening. He is however widely regarded as a major under-dog
