A month ago we all celebrated Valentines day as as part of the we handed our loved ones presents. In Japan it saw Nobuhiro Ishida (27-10-2, 11) hand a small box of chocolates to nemesis Kyotaro Fujimoto (11-1, 6). Now, a month later, sees a number of Asian countries celebrate "White Day" and Ishida has received his own gift from Fuimoto, a giant cake with an image of their first fight on top of it.
For those who are unaware it's usual for Valentines gifts in Japan to be given from the female to the male, and a month later, on White day, a gift is given from the man to a woman which is typically 2 to 3 times more valuable and usually white, such as white chocolate.
It appears this back and forth between the two men is relatively lighthearted and Ishida appears to have taken the cake in good faith having several pictures posted of himself with it. It is however part of the build up to their April 30th clash for the Japanese Heavyweight title, a bout that both have trash talked about and both seem to be taking very serious with their preparations, which has seen both men sparring with notable partners and doing their best to prepare for what is essentially a must win bout for both men.
