Today, ahead of their bout, Kubo and Lim both weighed in and both made weight for the bout.
On the scales the much taller Kubo was the heavier man, with the champion weighing in at around 121¾lbs. The weight is comfortably under the 122lb limit, but is around Kubo's typical weight with the Japanese fighter coming in between 121lbs and 122lbs for the 7th time in 11 bouts.
Lim on the under-hard was well under the limit, coming in at 121¼lbs. Despite being well under the limit the weight was actually one of Lim's heaviest, though is well under his debut weight of 127½lbs from back in 2009. Although in good condition the shorter Korean is taking a huge step up in class here and it will be his first bout outside of Korea.
