From what we under-stand, and our Thai isn't great, it seems that fans will get a title double head with two of the talented CP Freshmart fighters both defending their belts.
The higher profile of the title holders, and the best named, is WBA interim Minmumweight champion Knockout CP Freshmart (9-0, 5) who seems set to fight former world champion Muhammad Rachman (65-11-5, 35), as we reported early this year.
For Knockout the contest with Rachman would be the first defense of the title that he narrowly won when he over-came the very talented Carlos Buitrago late last year. We suspect a bout with Rachman would be easy for Knockout than the bout with Buitrago was though we also suspect he'll have numerous critics questioning the choice of this opponent. From what we understand however the hope is to meet WBA "regular" champion Hekkie Budler (27-1, 9) later in the year.
The other title holder in action here will Palangpol CP Freshmart (7-1, 4) who is set to defend his WBA Asia Light Flyweight title, though his opponent hasn't been named as of yet.
From we under-stand there is also a chance that former WBA interim Flyweight champion Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep (34-3, 20) will also feature on this same card. The last time we saw Yodmongkol he was fighting in Argentina and was stopped by Juan Carlos Reveco in a WBA Regular/interim unification bout.
We're awaiting confirmation of the specific details regarding the show though we believe that we've got the key details right. If we are right then the show certainly seems like one that will be worth tuning into, just like the show this morning was. Hopefully we'll have confirmation shortly.
