Today, ahead of their bout, the two men took part in their weigh in and both managed to make weight for the contest.
On the scales Knockout was bang on the limit of 105lbs, and looked in great shape for the bout with his conditioning showiong through as well as his confidence. Notably Odaira was well under the limit, coming in at an unexpectedly light 104lbs.
For Odaira this will be a third world title fight, and although he is 0-2 coming into the bout history is even less favourable to him, with Japanese fighters having a 0-21-1 record in world title bouts in Thailand. For Odaira it'sa chance to out perform WBC champion Wanheng Menayothin and WBO champion Katsunari Takayama, who stopped Odaira in 5 and 7 rounds respectively.
