Earlier today we stumbled on the official poster for the upcoming IBF Flyweight title clash between Thailand's under-rated Amnat Ruenroeng (13-0, 5) and IBF mandatory challenger McWilliams Arroyo (15-1, 13). The poster, put out by promotional banner Kiatkreerin, gives us some information that we are happy to get.
Firstly it confirms the fight, date and time. It will take place on September 10th between 3PM and 5PM local time. It also adds that the show will be on Channel 7 in Thailand, a free to air channel that is easy for international fans to get streams for, certainly much easier than the Thai channel used for Ruenroeng's bout against Kazuto Ioka.
Although the poster isn't great it's still nice to see the promoter releasing it weeks before the fight.
Interestingly this wasn't the only thing Kiatkreerin have released this week and we've also had news that the Thai's are expecting one of Top Rank's people at ringside to work towards securing the much talked about fight between Amnat and Zou Shiming. If what we're reading is correct it appears that Kiatkreerin are still open for Amnat to fight on the Macau card scheduled for November 22nd, if he wins here.
From what we understand the Top Rank representative will arrive in Thailand on September 8th giving them time before the fight to finalise details. Then it will be down to Amnat to retain his title and get the job done in the ring.
