Over the coming months Japanese fans will see a lot of title action ranging from domestic title bouts to world title bouts. Involved in three of those bouts are fighters from the Kawasaki Nitta Gym who all attended a press conference earlier today.
The first of those who will be in action is Kimika Miyoshi (11-8-1, 5) [三好 喜美佳], who faces Chika Mizutani (14-5, 7) [水谷 智佳] for the OPBF female Super Featherweight title on March 6th. The under-rated Miyoshi knows that she will be the under-dog but does seem confident.
Less than a week later Hikaru Nishida (14-7-1, 6) [西田 光] battles against OPBF and JBC Middleweight champion Akio Shibata (27-8-1, 13) [柴田 明雄]. Again the Nitta Gym fighter will be the under-dog but he'll be a confident under-dog knowing that he has previously given Shibata a very tough contest.
The following week former world title challenger Masayuki Kuroda (24-6-3, 14) [黒田 雅之] faces off against Japanese Flyweight champion Takuya Kogawa (25-4, 13) [粉川 拓也] in what looks like a brilliant match up and a potential FOTY contender.
Whilst all 3 of the Kawasaki Nitta gym fighters are the under-dogs it does seem that all 3 are very live threats coming into the bouts and all three seem confident of getting their big wins in March.
