Earlier today Japanese fans at the Korakuen Hall managed to see several notable fighters take part in under-card bouts.
Among those was former world title challenger Daiki Kaneko (22-5-3, 15) [金子 大樹] who ended a 2-fight losing run as he over-came Kazuya Soma (7-9-2, 6) [相馬 一哉] in a Lightweight bout. The bout was Kaneko's first as a fully fledged Lightweight though he looked the stronger man from the off and easily saw off Soma, who was stopped in the 4th round.
Another of the notable fighters was former Japanese Middleweight champion Tomohiro Ebisu (15-5, 15) [胡 朋宏] scored a 2nd round win over Toshihiro Kai (5-8-2, 1) [甲斐 斗志広]. Kai was dropped hard and the bout was immediately stopped with the heavy handed Ebisu notching up his third successive win after a stoppage loss in 2014 to Kevin Thomas Cojean.
A third notable fighter on the under-card was former OPBF Lightweight title challenger Accel Sumiyoshi (6-4-2, 2) [アクセル 住吉] who over-came Tatsuya Yanagi (11-4-1, 4) [柳 達也] in the 3rd round. This was the second bout between the two men who fought to a draw last year.
