The once beaten Alvarez, dubbed Little Pacman, was last seen in the ring in December 2014 when he gave Juan Francisco Estrada a very competitive bout in a 10 rounds, sadly for Alvarez his efforts weren't noted by the judges but the reality is that he really did push the talented Estrada all the way. That was Alvarez's only loss with his only other set back being a technical draw with Albert Alcoy back in August 2012. Although he lacks huge wins he does have notable victories over Renren Tesorio and Jerry Tomogdan.
Also beaten just once Gonzalez turned professional with high expectations and was expected to climb through the rankings at an incredible speed. Unfortunately for him he suffered the first blotch on his record when a bout with Omar Salado was ruled a No Contest, after just 73 seconds, and since then he has been stopped by Giovani Segura, in what was a one sided beat down for the out gunned Gonzalez, and fought to a draw with the limited Michael Ruiz Jr.
The bout is expected to take place on March 19th and could well see the Filipino 26 year old record a notable upset, if he still has the hunger for the sport that he once did.
