On December 31st we'll get the chance to see Japanese star Takashi Uchiyama (24-1-1, 20) [内山 高志] take part in a rematch with Panama's Jezreel Corrales (20-1-0-1, 8), with Uchiyama looking to regain the WBA "super" Super Featherweight title from the man who surprisingly stopped him earlier this year.
Despite having not yet travelled news has come from Corrales' camp about his condition and training and it seems that the champion is in great condition and shape, despite having had a traffic accident back in October.
The talented fighter is said to have got his weight under-control before leaving for Japan and is only a a few lbs over the Super Featherweight limit, a start improvement to the first bout with Uchiyama, where he actually came in over weight on his first attempt at weighing in.
From what we under-stand Corrales will be leaving for Japan shortly and seems incredibly confident of over-coming Uchiyama again and proving the first bout wasn't a fluke.
