Former world title challenger Hirofumi Mukai (9-3-1, 1) will make his ring return on March 30th.
Mukai, fighting for the first time since his painful loss to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, will be fighting against Akihiro Lee (16-4, 5), otherwise known as Myung Ho Lee, in an 8 round domestic clash. This bout has "distance" written all over it, though it may tell us whether or not Mukai has much left in the tank after the beating he took at the hands of Srisaket.
For Mukai it's unlikely he'll get another world title fight. His loss to Srisaket was his failed attempt to claim a world title after a technical draw earlier in is career with Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. For Lee however this is a big chance to get on to the fringes of a world title fight.
The main event for this show is expected to be a contest involving OPBF female Super Flyweight champion Tomoko Kawanishi (8-1, 4) though we've not yet heard who her opponent will be.
The card is to take place at the IMO Hall in Osaka though further details have yet to be announced.
