Last month we reported that Kazuto Ioka (16-1, 10) was strongly rumoured to be battling against WBA Flyweight champion Juan Carlos Reveco (35-1, 19) on April 22nd. Following that report everything went deathly silent as we awaited an announcement from the Ioka gym regarding the bout. The only thing we heard was that Ioka wanted to get a second world title bout for the show, which could feature either Sho Ishida (18-0, 10), at Super Flyweight, or Ryo Miyazaki (22-1-3, 13), at Light Flyweight.
Late yesterday however the WBA let the cat out of the bag and stated that the bout was set for April 22nd with an article in Spanish. They also stated that the bout would be in Osaka, the home of Ioka.
As well as this news it has also been reported, on http://primerguante.com.ar, that Reveco has been training on his own after issues with his usual team. This has now been sorted with Reveco finding a replacement corner for the bout though having spent several weeks training with out a team may well negatively effect Reveco's performance.
Again we are waiting for the bout to be confirmed by the Ioka team though it is certainly looking like this bout will be on April 22nd at the Bodymaker Colosseum and it seems like an announcement from the Japanese team will be made in the coming weeks.
