The press conferences was attended by 5 of the 6 fighters set to be featured on TV and had a relatively friendly feel to it with a lot of respect being shown by the fighters involved.
The fighters that attended were the main event pairing of Ryota Murata (6-0, 4) and his Brazilian foe Douglas Damiao Ataide (13-1-1, 6), WBC Super Featherweight champion Takashi Miura (28-2-2, 21) and his Australian challenger Billy Dib (32-3, 29) and former 2-weight world champion Akira Yaegashi (20-5, 10), whose Thai opponent, Songsaenglek Phosuwangym (1-11), didn't attend the event.
A happy looking Dib sounded confident of winning the title though was complimentary of Miura, describing him as a "tremendous" fighter. Miura on the other hand looked moody though was also confident.
Murata and Ataide, who were both very smartly dressed, also seemed confident though Ataide was quiet, as he has been since arriving in Japan, whilst Murata seemed to suggest this was on of his final stepping stones before a potential world title fight later in the year.
As for Yaegashi he said he was hoping to become a world champion once again and that he feels in good condition ahead of his Super Flyweight debut.
For fans wanting to watch this card it begins at 21:00 local time and will be shown on Fuji TV.
