We have been informed that Filipino slugger Michael Farenas (39-4-4, 31) will be battling against the undefeated Jose Pedraza (18-0, 12) on November 14th in a long awaited IBF Super Featherweight world title eliminator, with the bout now set to take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Former world title challenger Farenas has seen several other opponents drop out of a final eliminator with him. These included Argentina's Fernando David Saucedo, who fights current IBF champion Rances Barthelemy this coming weekend, and Diego Magdaleno, who apparently fights this coming November.
The winner of the Farenas/Pedraza fight will be fighting against the winner of the Barthelemy/Saucedo fight next year. We've got to admit that we're hoping to see Farenas fight against Barthelemy though it's clear that Farenas has got a really tough ask on his hands, especially in Puerto Rico.
